WWF France uses on 10 sustainabilty principles from the international “One Planet Living” approach to support the implementation of more sustainable urban projects.

Lyon Confluence, the Local Publicly Owned Company, and the Lyon Metropolis were WWF France’s partners from 2010 to 2015. They are committed to designing an energy efficient and low greenhouse gas neighbourhood, well served by public transport, that welcomes new biodiversity. With this in mind, they accepted WWF’s dual challenge: to improve users’ quality of life while reducing the neighbourhood’s ecological footprint.

As part of this partnership, the neighbourhood’s sustainability performance was assessed annually according to WWF criteria.

WWF’s publication looks back on this partnership and the factors of success in the “first WWF sustainable French neighbourhood”.
