The 108 in Rouen: a sustainable building producing renewable energy

30 regions involved in the EcoCité approach receive support from the Avenir Ville de Demain (Future City of Tomorrow) investment programme managed by the Banque des Territoires on behalf of the State.

€4.5 M have been invested as part of this programme to support project 108 in Rouen.

The 108, which can accommodate the 350 employees of the Rouen Metropolis, produces more energy than it consumes. It generates renewable energy thanks to 2000m2 of photovoltaic panels and a heat pump on geothermal probes covering its 120 kWhep/m².year energy requirement.

The integration of innovative technologies must also enable the community to optimise the operating costs of the installation (maintenance, upkeep and operating costs).
