Limours living lab – the Smart City showcase for rural and peri-urban towns

Water, gas and electricity bills are among the main items of expenditure for municipalities, particularly those of medium size. The decline in state aid encourages them to find ways to better control such consumption, without proceeding to the complete renewal of their infrastructure, but by installing sensors on existing meters.

Limours, a municipality of 6700 inhabitants located in Essonne (France), wanted to set up the OCELL solution allowing the daily visualisation of the consumptions of municipal buildings, without investing in an expensive solution to install and maintain facilities maladapted to the needs of a small peri-urban municipality.
