Within the context of the New National Programme for Urban Renewal (NPNRU), this fact sheet released by ANRU offers an overview of 3 methods and processes carried out on a national scale that contribute to urban planning and renewal projects:
The Ecodistrict label, which urges local governments to implement sustainable urban development (environmental objectives and social diversity at the neighbourhood scale).
The AEU2 method designed by ADEME, a support tool for public and technical decision making which helps local governments to implement urban projects.
The HQE Planning certification operated by Certivéa which assesses management systems of public and private developers in order to integrate sustainable development objectives into projects.
It also suggests a methodology to make use of these tools in a complementary fashion throughout the implementation of the project, as well as some concrete examples of urban renewal projects which have already applied them.
