DOGE : new building of eco-designed offices

This office building was designed in an ecodistrict of the city of Lille, on the site of a derelict spinning factory. The factory was shut down back in 1989, then rehabilitated into a business incubator for technology and communication enterprises. The first programme of the Hauts-de-France region to be certified “BREAM very good”, the distinctiveness of the building also lies in its raw terra cotta-coated frontage. DOGE is one of the French 2018 Green Solutions Awards winners.

WeCo's eco-friendly public toilets are part of an innovative approach to sustainable development by offering a response to environmental water-saving issues. Fully self-contained, they operate through an integrated wastewater recycling system.

This closed-circuit flushing technology makes the toilets completely independent of any connection to the sanitary system. In addition, electrical autonomy can be achieved by combining photovoltaic panels with a battery storage unit.

Around an ambitious project of Sustainable City Learning Centre, the“ Halle aux sucres” a fertile ecosystem consisting of an urban planning agency (AGUR), the local Urban Archives, the National Specialised Institute for Regional Studies (INSET) and the planning services of the Urban Community. This is conducive to the emergence of a regional co-construction and co-management dynamic which forms the basis of the new urban governance.

The city of Narbonne improves comfort in children’s nurseries and schools with temperature monitoring

In response to the demands of its citizens, Narbonne has developed the first uses based on the "Internet of Things" to provide more comfort for the people of Narbonne and to save money. Installed in schools and nurseries in the City of Narbonne, 39 small sensor probes are used to record temperature measurements in real time. Thanks to this system, the city saves money by reducing its consumption and guarantees optimal comfort for the 4000 children it welcomes.
